Are you struggling and thinking of what to feed your vegan baby? What are some foods that have key nutrients to fuel your baby's growth and development, especially his brain and eyes? These foods are Carrot, Broccoli, and Spinach.

Carrot is rich in beta-carotene (an antioxidant) which turns into vitamin A in your baby's body.
Broccoli is packed with antioxidants and nutrients such as folate, potassium and choline.
Spinach contains an abundance of nutrients including iron, folate and lutein.

If you take eggs, take egg yolk.

Did you have a Green day while you count down to 2014? How did you spend the last day of 2013?

There are many ways to rejoice and celebrate for a cause.
Some prefer to do it loud, while others is contented to a quiet evening with family.
What about you?

We ordered 2 plates of plain rice and 2 vegetables (takeaway) for lunch and had a small bowl of complimentary soup for 2 at SGD3.20.
Still have some vegetables left for afternoon tea.

Who says spending for 2 will be greater than 1?
Sometimes, it can be more costly for self than having to buy a little more for a family.
Expenditure per capita is less for spending as a family or shared among a few people.

We successfully reduce almost to Zero Percent disposable takeaway boxes and spoons when we dined in at the coffee shop.

We travelled by public transport, so less Carbon Emission compared to private owned vehicles.
We made DIY dinner and stayed at home to watch the fireworks from home.
We successfully reduce to Zero Percent on travelling in the evening.

Hope you had a great Green New Year too!
May the world be Greenier and Happier with each passing day!

How was your Christmas?

Did anyone manage to survive the entire hassle of choosing suitable gifts for your loved ones, and yet not contribute to the environmental burden, that is,
the use of gift wrapping paper and accessories, Christmas decorations, purchase of latest digital gadgets or designer labels etc..
when your mobiles and clothes, wardrobe accessories or handbags are still functional and barely worn out..?

And the need to go dining at restaurants for gatherings or celebrations with your family and spending over budget with your credit cards?

Or having to drive your family around and topping the petrol tank?

What are the real Needs and Wants of a vegetarian or vegan during such a time? How best is it to live through the festive season
without adding much burden to the environment?

From a rating of 0 to 10 (0 being the least harm done and 10 being the greatest harm done),
there's also a colour rating (0 being Dark Green, 1 being Green, 2 being Light Green, and followed by Red, Brown, 9 being Grey and lastly 10 being Black).

Our family had a truly Green Christmas again this year!

Feeling warm and thirsty? Make a glass of lemon drink w honey and wolfberry..

To say that these days the weather is very warm is an understatement. It is going to be hotter and hotter each passing day. Walking to the nearest bus stop holding an unbrella at 9am in the morning is enough to make you perspire. Do remember to wipe the perspiration on the forehead, back of neck and the back below the collar as best as you can before boarding the air-conditioned public transport. Make yourself a glass of fresh lemon drink without ice to quench your thirst.

Have a great Thursday!
